How we handle enquiry form data
This page explains, in plain terms, what personal data we collect through the online enquiry form, why we collect it, and how it is used.
Data we collect and use
When you submit an enquiry for a rental, we ask for your name, phone number or email address, the dates and location you need the car for, and the model you are interested in. If you request a quote for a specific vehicle, we also ask for basic driving licence details so we can confirm you meet the age and experience requirements before we prepare a rental agreement.
This information is used only to assess vehicle availability, calculate a rate, arrange delivery or collection, and prepare the paperwork needed for the rental itself. We do not use enquiry data to build marketing profiles, and we do not add you to any mailing list unless you ask us to.
Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to complete the booking and resolve any follow-up questions about it, and for no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us. After that period, records are deleted from our booking system unless we are required to keep them longer for accounting purposes.
Driving licence details
Licence details supplied at enquiry stage are used only to check that the driver meets our minimum age and licence-holding requirements before a quote is confirmed. They are not stored separately from the rest of the enquiry record or passed to anyone outside the booking process.
Privacy questions
Does Schober share my enquiry data with anyone else?
No. We do not sell or share enquiry data with third parties. The only exception is passing on the minimum detail needed to a delivery driver so a car can be dropped off or collected at the agreed location.
How can I ask Schober to delete or correct my data?
Contact us through the details on our contact page with your name and the dates of your enquiry or booking. We will locate the record and action a correction or deletion request directly.
Is my data used for marketing without my consent?
No. Enquiry data is used solely to process the booking it relates to. We will not contact you for marketing unless you separately opt in.
How long does Schober keep my enquiry details?
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted unless accounting rules require a longer retention period.
